Thank you for supporting the professions through your annual AKSHA membership. Your active membership demonstrates your commitment to AKSHA’s mission to serve and advocate for the needs of speech-language pathologists and audiologists and the clients we serve.

What does your $75.00 annual AKSHA membership fee really buy?

  • AKSHA member registration discounts.
  • New and ever-improving Web resources, including an online membership directory, a newsletter archive, a job board, links to useful professional sites, a calendar of AKSHA events, and occasional e-mail blasts to announce time-sensitive or emerging “hot” issues.

Other Ongoing AKSHA Member Benefits

Legislative advocacy and representation to Alaska state commissioners of health and human services and education to lawmakers, consumers, insurance payers, school districts, and others that influence our profession.

Organized and productive committee structure with leadership and team development opportunities through our Advocacy, Continuing Education, Membership, Licensing and Regulations, Nominations, Awards & Scholarship, Special Interests and other committees, soon to be accessible in real-time contexts for all members statewide.

Membership Dues

There are several options to choose from. For each membership type, annual dues apply for 12 months from your join date.

  • Member – $75
    For persons who (1) hold a graduate degree in communication disorders, speech-language pathology, audiology, or speech and hearing science; or (2) hold a graduate degree and present evidence of active research, interest and performance in the field of communication disorders)
  • Associate – $40
    For persons who hold a Bachelor’s or an Associate’s Degree in communication disorders, speech-language pathology, audiology or speech and hearing science. Associate membership is not available to those who qualify for Member status and does not include voting rights.
